Brittle Bone Coast MXS

Professional Mountain instructor and AMI member Dave Talbot has just dropped me a line having just completed some filming work with the BBC's Coast programme. Dave took Coast presenter Andy Torbet out on a new routing trip on chalk faces of the Needles, Isle of Wright during the freak Indian summer 2 weeks ago.

Harry's Arctic Heroes - BBC One

If you happen to be watching the second part of Harry's Arctic Heroes on BBC One tonight at 9pm then make sure you keep your eyes peeled for friend of the brand and series producer/director Alexis Girardet.

Alexis and the Twofour production team used our Kongur and Greenland jackets while filming the documentary that charts the extraordinary attempt by four severely-injured Afghan veterans as they aim to complete their unsupported trek to the North Pole.

RTE One - Charlie Bird on the trail of Tom Crean

A new two-part documentary series kicks off on the RTE One network tonight at 9.30pm (available in Ireland and online only)

Charlie Bird - photo RTE

Newsman Charlie Bird heads on the trail of legendary Antarctic explorer, Tom Crean. For over 20 years Charlie Bird has wanted to travel to the South Pole and tell the story of this remarkable Kerryman. In 2011 Charlie's wish came true and to bring Crean's story to life, Charlie spent two months crisscrossing Antarctica before travelling to the Pole itself, completing a journey Crean was denied from making on the very cusp of success.

You can check out more info about the programme along with photos and video clips here
